The Circuit vs Rephonic
Both tools are useful and they are not the same tool. Rephonic is built to find shows to pitch. The Circuit is built around the person you are promoting.
Where each one fits
| The Circuit | Rephonic | |
|---|---|---|
| Centre of the product | The person you promote — a client, an exec, a competitor. | The show you want to pitch. Discovery and audience data. |
| Core job | Watch a roster and report every new placement. | Find podcasts that match an audience, then pitch them. |
| The ongoing habit | An alert the day a placement publishes. | A research session before a campaign. |
| The report | A client-ready timeline and CSV export per person. | Show-level audience and contact research. |
| Overlap | You can search any name free. | You can look up where a guest has appeared. |
When to use which
Use Rephonic when you are choosing which shows to target next and need audience size, categories, and contact routes.
Use The Circuit when you need to prove what has already happened — for a client report, a pitch deck, or to avoid re-pitching a show your client has already done — and to stop finding out about placements after the fact.
Plenty of publicists run both. The pitch side and the proof side are different jobs, and only one of them needs to run every day.
